The Despicable Truth "Deleted from History" of Who Biden Makes Us Fund
In a new State Department report to Congress, the Biden Administration deleted an entire section on Palestinian terror and the support for the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement. The question is why? Is it an effort to go around the Taylor Force Act to be able to restart funding for the Palestinian Authority (PA)?
Even with antisemitism on the rise across U.S. college campuses and now in the U.S. Congress, our current Administration omits the two sections of the report that are the most crucial – the BDS and the Palestinians incitement for violence.
ACLJ Senior Counsel for Global Affairs and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has experience traveling all around the world to ensure the stop of antisemitism. He explains the importance of this work not only in the U.S. but abroad as well:
"It is why we saw so much good work done during our Administration on pushing back against the BDS folks whether that was abroad. . . . These were important indications of American support for those people who were going to permit religious freedom and to put real cost on top of folks who were antisemitic to who that were engaged in activity like BDS activity that is on the very fringes of the antisemitism activities. You saw this on our campuses. We pushed back we tried to deny funding to those schools. There is a lot of work to be done. We have seen this rise of antisemitism in our big cities in Los Angeles and New York. We need to make sure we are doing everything we can at home, then helping countries get it right abroad as well. The rise of antisemitism around the world is dangerous thing, not only for Jews but for all of us."
Sec. Pompeo added why the Biden Administration would omit these sections of the report:
"This is not only amoral, but unlawful. There are congressional requirements. This reporting is required to be factually accurate. I think they know the Palestinians are inciting violence. So, to leave that out of the report . . . is to avoid the facts as they are known. There has to be a purpose for that. The purpose would be when they go to underwrite the Palestinians . . . or whether it is another method that they are going to use to underwrite the Palestinian leadership they can say we didn’t violate the Taylor Force Act – something that no Administration wants to be on the record for. But this one appears intent on doing."
ACLJ Senior Advisor for National Security and Foreign Policy and former Acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell has reviewed reports just like this one and details how this deletion was a political move:
"The only explanation is they are being very political about somehow protecting the reputation of the PA so that they can justify why they are giving them so much money. Imagine if in this report we were able to be very specific about how the PA is supporting terrorist activities. That would be embarrassing for the Biden Administration because they just gave them hundreds of millions of dollars. So, what they are trying to do is take away the bad actions to justify the money they are giving to them. It’s the classic diplomatic speech to make sure that your goal of being nice and having pleasant relations with another entity is somehow the goal and somehow has to be supported so you somehow get rid of the facts that contradict that outcome."
We have a hunch this was a political move too. So, we are taking action. We have already sent a written submission to the United Nations to condemn Hamas and the PA for violating human rights laws in the first place. We even filed a lawsuit over the Biden Administration violating the Taylor Force Act and funding the PA. Recently, I sent a letter to President Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken outlining the inaction for the antisemitic attacks around the country and the world. Next, our legal team is working on another Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to find out all of the facts behind the deletion from this report.
Today’s full Sekulow broadcast is complete with further analysis of the Biden State Department’s decision to delete information in its annual report to Congress.
