Fallout 3 Walkthrough (Modded) Part 183

My long adventure through the west/northwest side of the Capital Wasteland ends today. I also met some friendly ants.

DISCLAIMER: This episode was recorded after the Windows Fall Creators update that partially broke Fallout Stutter Remover. You may notice more stutters and instability when I travel through the map and play the game. This problem was solved only after the release of the F3TF (Fallout 3 Tick Fix).

Here are the timestamps:
- 00:26 - Entering the monorail wagon. Interiors added by Metro Carriage Interiors mod. The loot in the various containers seems to be random. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/19988
- 02:43 - Ammo boxes in the other wagon.
- 03:21 - Back outside. An Enclave trooper appeared on the elevated highway.
- 04:03 - Heading south to the radioactive pools. A D.C. Journal of Internal Medicine is on the ground, near the giant ant eggs.
- 04:52 - Inventory management.
- 06:42 - Heading west/northwest following the monorails.
- 07:19 - Discovering Shalebrigde. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Shalebridge
- 08:16 - Deathclaw to the northwest.
- 08:52 - A Badass Bloodclaw to the southwest (Imperfection mod).

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/18434?tab=files&file_id=86683
- 09:18 - Following the monorail ruins to the northwest. I bump into a Sentry Bot, a Slaver, and one Lieutenant Gutsy.
- 12:10 - An Albino Radscorpion and another Sentry Bot. A Deathclaw Young spawned inside the rocks. I finally reach the infamous invisible wall. Walking back to Shalebridge.
- 15:50 - I approach a broken radio tower. Shalebridge tunnels are next to the rocks. https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Shalebridge#Shalebridge_tunnels
- 18:05 - The friendly Mutated Forager Ants colony is being attacked. https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Giant_ant_(Fallout_3)#Mutated_forager_ant
- 18:23 - The Invader Ants will attack you and can be killed to protect the friendly ones. The giant ants will not be here if you have already killed the queen in Shalebridge Hill. https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Giant_ant_(Fallout_3)#Invader_ant
- 18:59 - The dead Ant Researcher in the water has a Big Book of Science on his corpse. https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Ant_researcher
- 20:20 - Back outside. Ant Tunnel to Shalebridge Hills is to the north, surrounded by golden fungus. The hostile ants come from there. https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Shalebridge#Shalebridge_Hill
- 21:49 - Inside the ant tunnels, time to get rid of the Giant Ants.
- 24:40 - A reminder that Mud and Zebra Ants were added by The Mantis Imperative mod. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/12296
- 27:30 - Damn collision boxes.
- 28:17 - Your target: The Giant Ant Queen. https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Giant_ant_(Fallout_3)#Giant_ant_queen
- 29:12 - The Pretty Pink Power Armor (and Helmet) near the eggs and skeletons. They were added by the New Uniques mod. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/21441/
- 31:12 - Walking around the cave, looting and killing the remaining ants.
- 35:25 - Some chems and metal armor.
- 36:52 - Leaving the place and back to Shalebridge Tunnels.
- 38:35 - You can inspect the Large Ant Egg Pile and increase the colony growth by injecting a Stimpak (70 Science or 40 Medicine required). There is an ant compost heap with some ant nectar in it. The compost heap will replenish faster upon killing the giant ant queen on Shalebridge hill. The compost pile is the same area surrounded by some green mushrooms.
- 40:08 - Leaving the place. To the right, I follow the path between the rocks and reach the broken radio tower. This one has no switch to a radio signal.
- 41:43 - That tower to the south is Broadcast tower KT8. https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Broadcast_tower_KT8
- 42:01 - Sniping some Super Mutants. Then crossing the rope bridge to loot them.
- 43:33 - Nice sunset.

I've explored (almost) the entire map, but I missed some unmarked locations here and there. Some (undiscovered) map marks on my map are areas added by DLCs and mods, including the Random Encounter Field Guide. Once I discover those marks added to random encounter locations, they'll disappear. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/20520
From this point forward, I'll cover locations added by mods and DLCs. See you all in the next episode.
