Hedgehodgs Video

The Hedgehogs comprises a group of small, spiny animals with cone-shaped faces, short legs and bodies that are covered with porcupines-like quills. Despite their similar appearances, porcupines and hedgehogs are not closely related. Unlike porcupines, hedgehog quills are not easily detached from their bodies, according to Animals planet.
There are 17 different species of these animals across the world. In five genera found throughout parts of Europe, Asia and Africa, and in New Zealand by introduction. The Lifespan: 2 - 5 years Length: Woodland hedgehogs 20 - 30 cm, Desert hedgehogs 14 - 28 cm, Saurian hedgehogs 15 - 20 cm, Mass: Woodland hedgehogs 0.4 - 1 .2 kg, Desert hedgehogs 280 - 510 gram, Saurian hedgehogs 600 gram, Gestation period: 30 - 40 days.
