The severe weather threat did not materialize as we initially expected yesterday. There were a lot of moving parts that had to perfectly fall into place and they didn't. This is why it is smart to follow the latest updates as new information comes in. With that being said, a line of showers and storms this evening will move through followed by a second line of storms tonight. The second cluster of thunderstorms will bring in some potentially flooding rains to the area. Models are projecting several inches (1-4") over the next 18 hours. This cluster of storms looks like its arriving around 8-9pm and lasting into around 2-4am. A few additional showers and storms are possible in the morning. We will turn have skies clearing in the afternoon with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Friday will be similar temperature wise, cooler, in the upper 70s to near 80. Skies will be sunny which will be a nice start to kick off the weekend. Several days of sunny weather are expected as we head into the weekend and next week. Temperatures will be gradually rising into the mid to upper 80s by Monday.
