Numrich Hopkins Allen Minuteman Brush .45 Flintlock

A Steven Beardslee Custom from Vernon Arizona in Apache County, Barrel is clean shiney and free of rust and pitting. The lock is an L&R "Replacement lock" for CVA, Jukar, RPL locks and is good quality lock with roller frizzen and sparks well. Brown finish on barrel, with some scratches, nicks, and wear. Stock has dents, scratches, ect and is cracked at the but plate but is solid. it has an adjustable rear sight All "Numrich" Hopkins Allen .45 calibers actually take a .435-.437 ball, not a .440 like others. With a totally clean bore, and a thin .010 greased patch I can load a .440 Speer ball, and it shoots accurately. I can reload it one time with a similar grease patched ,440 ball, but the ball is tough to ram home, and after that I either have to swab it with bore cleaner and a patch, or switch over to .437 balls which I carry in my ball pouch. You literally have to hammer the third ball home to get it to seat, but .437 balls load easily all day.
