Derek Charles Johnson’s performance of “I Surrender All”

A simple song of worship, I Surrender All is about as honest a song as we can bring (in my opinion). Occasionally I like to work this song into a worship set or a concert. It is one way to just pause and recenter and fall upon the Lord — appealing to His goodness and His mercy. All to Jesus I surrender! I cannot say those words without truly laying all of my life down. ALL to Him I freely give. My hope is that if I lay my will down, I don’t proceed to pick it back up again. It’s surrendered, it’s done. I want to follow Him and not turn back.
