CRSED: FOAD puts several dozen players on a map surrounded by a shrinking ring of death and has them fight each other until there is only one standing. Players use weapons, items and vehicles they find on the map. [2] Unlike other Battle Royale games, there is no skydiving/insertion phase [3] and players are randomly generated all over the map right after the combo finishes. It is possible to play in first and third person modes, but in the latter case players are accompanied by flying camera drones to discover the positions of those peeking around corners.

It is possible to play alone, in pairs or in a team of up to five players.
