Don Francisco Connecticut Robusto Dulce Cigar Review

This 5x50 cigar features a dark tan smooth and soft wrapper with a spongy give minimal veins, tight invisible seams, double cap and a soapy aroma. First light reveals a great draw with medium bodied flavors of just a cherry flavored tobacco with good smoke output. The first third develops to a sweet syrupy earth and tobacco but not overwhelmingly sweet by any means like other artificially sweet cigars can be. The finish is fairly long holding the earth and tobacco adding a touch of pepper flavors with the sweetness just holding on the lips. Burn is very good although the wrapper is swelling slightly and splitting down one side. Draw is just on the snug side but not a problem, putting out a great amount of medium bodied smoke. 45 minutes in by the 1/2 way point the sweetness had completely worn off leaving the other flavors to dominate. The finish is getting heavier with a smokey tobacco aftertaste. Ending at 1:05 min where it got very hot as far as smoking temperature, the last third showed no flavor changes at all.
