"Hatikvah" (Hebrew: הַתִּקְוָה, [hatikˈva]; lit. "The Hope") is a 19th-century Jewish poem and the national anthem of Israel. Its lyrics are adapted from a poem by Naftali Herz Imber, a Jewish poet from Złoczów, Austria-Hungary (today Zolochiv, Ukraine).
