A Loneliness Buster

Loneliness! All of us or some of us deal with loneliness at one time or another. It is a difficult feeling; it is very soul pervasive and carries a strong temptation for self-pity. We can dig a self-pity pit that is hard to climb out of. Stay away from that trap. Don’t let self-pity ever rule your soul. Dealing with loneliness is easy and hard. The hard part is the feelings that overwhelm us, the easy part is learning to redirect those feelings. I believe that Gratefulness does that. Finding something to be grateful for and redirecting the thoughts and feelings of loneliness to thoughts and feelings of thankfulness. I truly do believe that the enemy’s desire is to strip us of a grateful heart, it may not truly be about the loneliness, it may be about stealing our joy. The joy of the Lord is our strength, and without joy, we can be susceptible to self-pity, which is a sappy mess of despondency. Gratefulness is the loneliness “feeling buster” and the path we cab take to restoring our joy, and the strength of our inner spiritual core. So, kick loneliness to the curb, guarding your heart from self-pity, by being grateful, finding things in our lives we can be thankful for, like even our next breath, and redirect the focus off of self-pity, to a soul full of thanks to God for all He has done, for His faithfulness, for His Presence and for all the fitting God purposes in play in the unseen for our good. God is never not working for our good, His Providential care is always in play for us, so we should never let loneliness deter us from finding our way to a thankful heart. God bless ya.
