Anti-Semitism is not new. It's as ancient as the People of Israel themselves. It's written that when the People of Israel recieved the Torah at Mt. Sinai, "Sina" (the Hebrew word for "Hatred") also came into being.

As soon as Israel was chosen and receive the Torah, hatred, anger, and jealousy was the response from the nations. Since then, for thousands of years, Israel has been the target of hatred. Throughout history, we've seen countless examples, in virtually all places Jews lived, whether in Christian or Islamic lands. Hatred of the Israeli people and the Jewish Sages was conveniently implanted into the central texts of both Christianity and Islam, and history paints a bloody picture of what the Jewish people faced, often at the hands of the most central figures within the Islamic and Christian places where they lived.

Today is no different. We see the hatred around us, always falsely justified with the most current reasons and claims.

But all these horrible "judgments" have a purpose. Yes, there is meaning to the suffering we've experienced throughout history. Not only does all the suffering ultimately benefit us, but it also creates a spiritual destiny for those who choose to make us their enemy.
