Pineapple is an aggregate (or multiple) fruit formed from a group of flowers called inflorescences.
The inflorescence grows outside the center of the plant where 100 to 200 flowers fuse together to create the fruit.
Much of the pineapple growing process is done by hand.
It grows better in warmer regions, with temperatures between 18 and 35ºC, and on clayey and sandy soils. At cooler temperatures, the fruit has a sour taste.
