Every year, the road in this part of the country gets washed away. In its place, mud, debris and potholes are littered. For rural far-flung health centers and aid posts, it is always a struggle getting medical supplies and transporting the sick to the general hospital in town. In January this year, Brahman Health Center had a hard time transporting medical supplies, or moving the sick and expectant mothers for proper health care at the Madang General Hospital. In this video, you will also see a tipper truck which was abandoned because it couldn't make it's way up the slippery slope.
