Engaging Prairie Dogs Playing and Chasing Each Other Around.

Prairie dogs are burrowing rodents that live in the grasslands of North America. The five species are: black-tailed, white-tailed, Gunnison's, Utah, and Mexican prairie dogs. They are herbivorous and mainly eat grass as well as seeds.

Similar to rabbits, prairie dogs are deemed as pests to some but pets to others. This is because much like rabbits, they eat grass, dig and make holes which can be an issue for farmers who are raising cattle.
