The shooting happened around 4 a.m. Saturday, April 17th in the 24900 block of Second Street, according to a statement from sheriff’s office spokesman Sgt. Ray Kelly.

Kelly said authorities delayed releasing Harry’s identification because of issues contacting his next of kin.

In a news release after the shooting, the sheriff’s office said Harry fired “multiple shots” at a deputy, and that more than one deputy shot back.

Kelly said Harry was “extremely violent” with a “long, criminal history” that included shootings, assaults and robbery.

According to Kelly, the sheriff’s office received calls about a man “threatening” people with a gun. They sent deputies to the area, surrounded the area and searched the area on foot, Kelly said.

At some point, deputies encountered Harry, whom Kelly said “fired multiple shots” at a deputy. - ThisIsButter
