Handmade Wood Toy Pickup Truck from the Play Pal Series

I make these small wood toy trucks in my toymakers shop using traditional woodworking tools. The body of the truck and the wheels are hand-finished with amber shellac. I insert nylon washers between the wheels and the truck's body to ensure the toy rolls smoothly and does not rub against the truck's sides. My goal is to make the highest quality toy in its class that I possibly can.

My grandson has many versions of this toy truck. He has been playing with them for over three years. They are still going strong, outlasting many factory-made plastic toys.
