Small hail storm in Central City Colorado gold rush of 1859
You are looking out at the Gregory Diggings where the first gold lode discovery was made in 1859. John H Gregory from Georgia learned from his father that there must be a source to the gold being found in Cherry Creek area of present day Denver. He discovered the first gold lode in Colorado. Today July 4, 2021 a small hail storm came through and I decided to capture it on video. The elevation is 8,292 here in the front range.
