CHAPTER 022 - THE LOW ROAD

After they tormented the Keep army for the whole night, Mabbi and Alra continued on ahead of them, this time to make another hundred tiny effigies which further frightens the men. They come across a small settlement with giants, and they are forced to make a very hard decision

The travelers make their way down the South River road. Paul and Boone spot a someone in the trees, and they chase a Keep scout by the name of Krolen into the arms of Mabbi and her giant allies.

With the addition of giants to their caravan the travelers elect to cut down trees across the road to slow the army behind them. Elze and all of her men by this time are in the throes of locoweed poisoning, and they come across the river only to find that their way has been blocked.
