CHAPTER 21 - THE HIGH ROAD

Mabbi and Alra shade the Keep army down the North River road. The younger suggests that they turn into 'booglie wooglies', and after the men bed down for the night Mabbi sneaks into their camp and she spikes their brandy and tea with hallucinogenic plants.

The next day the army begins to show signs of being affected, and after a cluster of crudely fashioned effigies of the three Masters is found, a fight breaks out Master Enre announces that there will be a sanctioned wrestling match that night.

When night falls, and while two sanctioned fights are hosted near a giant fire, the two women haunt the army, and by the time they're done everyone including Elze believes that the woods are full of spooks.
