The word for today is vestigial. The border patrol is merely a ceremonial arm of homeland security and at this part are only working to complete the smuggling cycle of the cartel human traffickers.
If he truly does not know about the massive human trafficking happening via the border patrol, he needs not to be employed and paid with our tax dollars. But something tells me, they know to either keep quiet or lose their jobs.
