QUICK AND EASY AUSTRALIAN DAMPER RECIPE - RECETTE DE DAMPER AUSTRALIEN RAPIDE ET FACILE
Easy Australian Damper Recipe
preparation: 15 minutes
cooking time: 45 minutes
Ingredients:
- 450g flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 80g of cold butter
- 1 teaspoon of fine salt
- 185ml of milk
- water to complete
Preparation
1/Weigh the flour in a large bowl and add the baking powder.
Preheat the oven to th. 6-7 (200°C).
2/Add a teaspoon of salt.
3/Then the soft butter cut in small cubes.
4/Roll the flour in the butter, first with your fingertips and then
rubbing the flour between the palms of your hands.
The idea is that each grain of flour has met the butter...
5/Add the milk, mix and then add water (about half a glass)
until the dough is quite soft.
6/Dust a sheet of parchment paper on a mold with flour.
7/Cut the top of the damper into 8 pieces and lightly sprinkle the top.
8/Bake at 200° for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and eat either warm
or at room temperature.

Ingrédients:
- 450g de farine
- 1 sachet de levure chimique
- 80g de beurre froid
- 1 cc plutôt rase de sel fin
- 185ml de lait
- eau pour compléter
Préparation
1/Peser la farine dans un grand bol et y ajouter la levure chimique.
Préchauffer le four au th. 6-7 (200°C).
2/Ajouter une petite cuillère à café de sel.
3/Puis le beurre doux coupé en petits cubes.
4/Rouler la farine dans le beurre, d'abord du bout des doigts puis
en frottant la farine entre les paumes des mains.
L'idée est que chaque grain de farine ait rencontré le beurre...
5/Ajouter le lait, mélanger puis ajouter de l'eau (environ un demi verre)
jusqu'à ce que la pâte soit bien souple.
6/Saupoudrer une feuille de papier sulfurisé posée sur un moule de farine.
7/Couper le dessus du damper en 8 part et saupoudrer légèrement le dessus.
8/Enfourner à 200° pour 45 minutes. Sortir du four et manger soit chaud
soit à température ambiante.
