Patriotism 101- New Florida Law Counters CRT Nonsense

Florida Governor Ron Desantis has signed a law that requires public schools to teach students about citizens’ shared rights under the Constitution and Bill of Rights. With today’s Americans for Limited Government Minute, I’m Catherine Mortensen. DeSantis said that in order to be responsible citizens, our young people need to have a working knowledge of American history and the principles that underly our Constitution and Bill of Rights. DeSantis also wants students to hear the stories of Americans who fled communist or socialist regimes in Cuba, Nicaragua, and Vietnam.
“I think it is important that we get this in the classroom and provide an honest assessment of what this totalitarian ideology has done for the last one hundred years.”
Hurray for DeSantis! Lawmakers in the Arizona House have passed a similar bill in their state. This is exactly what we need to be teaching students so they can appreciate the miracle that is America and our limited form of government. For more check us out at the DailyTorch.com
