Black-winged Stilt (Himantopus Himantopus)

An occupant bird of dry zone swamps. It occupies beach front mudflats, tidal ponds, swamps and inland tanks and furthermore conceivable winter guests to both wet and dry marsh water bodies. They breed from June to July typically as little settlements. Settling is on the edge of a tidal pond or tank or on a little islet. Home is a typical despondency in the ground at times fixed with not many surges, water weeds or parched cow-taps. Food comprises of mollusks, worms, oceanic bugs and swamp plants. Typically feed as little dispersed runs and join into a minimized group whenever upset. The long brace like legs empower it to arrive at food supplies regularly too far for most different waders.
