What is the debate around critical race theory?

Critical race theory is a red-hot topic in school board rooms across the country. States are trying to figure out if it's an appropriate subject matter to teach children. More than 20 states have either banned or proposed bans on the subject. Scripps Reporter Dan Grossman sat down with a professor to understand the debate.
