A 3 kilometer trail that crosses 14 waterfalls in the middle of the Atlantic Forest is a paradise for any adventurer. With an average of one waterfall every 210 meters, the Rota das Cachoeiras is an amazing trail in the city of Corupá, in the interior of Santa Catarina. But if you lack the motivation to go all the way, remember that, by nature's whim, the highest waterfall is also the last on the way. There is no excuse for not going all the way.

The Rota das Cachoeiras is formed by the waterfalls in a sequence that the Rio Novo makes as it descends one of the hills in the region. Yes, all 14 waterfalls are from the same river that plummets by 600 meters from the top of the hill through winding paths through the forest and rocks. But despite the intense and preserved nature, the trail is very quiet.

The waterfalls are within the RPPN Emílio Fiorentino Battistella, created on April 18, 2002 by the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBIO). It is a private area of ​​environmental protection with the possibility of tourist exploration and therefore has a good infrastructure. By the way, this is the first reminder: you must buy tickets to access the reservation.
