Yin represents darkness, the passive, feminine, cold and night principle. Yang represents light, the active principle, masculine, warm and clear.
In Taoism, the Yin Yang symbolizes the generating principle of all things in the universe, from the union of two opposing and complementary energies, the positive and the negative.

Their beliefs are as follows: everything transforms, is complementary, nothing is absolutely the same, everything has two sides, beginning and end, and they are part of the manifestations of an infinite unity.
