This 7.5x38 stick features a medium brown oily smooth wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, large double cap with a tiny tail, a soft pack and a caramel and hay aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plentiful thick rish medium-full bodied smoke showing flavors of a bold burned caramel and earth combo followed by the same building to full through the finish with a zing of pepper washing over the tongue. The first third carries the same flavors through but adds a very buttery smoothness to the mix while the pepper builds further on the finish. The ash holds pretty short but performance is flawless. Hitting the 1/2 way point at a quick 25 minutes, the ash continued to fall in short chunks, the draw is still great and the flavors rich. Complexity is down with just a big deep smooth earth taking over while the pepper dies almost completely. Ending at 55 minutes the last third slowed down a bit, continuing the deep earth domination.
