This is a video story from our trip on one of the most spectacular routes in Eastern Tibet- from Chengdu to Xining. Eastern Tibet is all the Tibetan lands outside of the Tibetan Autonomous Region. It is shared by the provinces of Qinghai, Gansu, Sichuan and Yunnan, and presents the Tibetan cultural regions of Amdo and Kham.
The route starts from Chengdu, and goes westward to Kangding, Tagong, Garze (Ganzi), Yilhun Lhatso Lake, Serxu, and then enter Qinghai Province, reaching Yushu. From there, it proceeds to Madoi and Mt. Amnye Machen, reach Qinghai Lake, and descends to Xining.
