It's been almost a decade since I last reviewed this one, let's do it again! Ramon Allones Specially Selected Cigar Review - this 4 7/8x50 stick features a thin dark tan wrapper with small veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and buttery soft oily feel. The aroma is faint, slightly sweet pepper. First light reveals a slightly snug draw with mild-medium notes of a soft wood, slight bitterness and whispy smoke with a long finish of the same. The first third quickly changes to a complex medium body profile of smooth leather and sweet floral on the draw with a bit of pepper and spice sticking through the oily finish. The 1/2 way point comes at 40 minutes with notes of leather, citrus, cream and a touch of light coffee, all carrying through the finish which has toned down the pepper and spice. Ending at 1:25 the last third a good medium strength creeps in adding to the medium-full body showing a deep sweet earth joining in and warm minty finish.
