Whirlpool gorge - Niagara New York is a state park about half way between Niagara Falls and Old fort Niagara, north of Buffalo.

I enjoyed Whirlpool State Park more than Niagara Falls. The sight was breathtaking. Also, less people were there.

To get to Whirlpool State Park, take the Scenic Highway between Old Fort Niagara and Niagara Falls.
