This year the whole family picked tart cherries from the tree in our yard. These cherries (as the name implies) are a bit more sour/tart than their "sweet cherry" cousin that you'll find in the grocery store. They have fantastic documented health benefits and we found the easiest way to store this little "superfood" was to juice them and then pour into ice trays that we can easily drop into water with a lemon for cherry lemonade!

Anyone that picks a lot of cherries like we did this year probably doesn't want to pit them all by hand, so we've left a link below for the cherry pit remover that we used that DOES 6 CHERRIES AT A TIME, which is a big time saver!
