Brittney's NBC 26 weather forecast

After much needed rain of over an inch for some of us yesterday, we are starting off rather quiet this morning, with mostly cloudy skies and patchy dense fog. The 1/4 mile visibility will wear off by 9am and chances for a few pockets of sunshine will sneak in this afternoon. But that also brings a chance for some scattered showers or a rumble of thunder this afternoon too. Temperatures will rise into the upper 70s with light winds switching to out of the northeast and off of the lake and bay. Showers and storms begin to surge in early Saturday morning and ramp up throughout the evening, with the potential for heavy flooding rains. Temperatures will be cooler than average, in the upper 60s and low 70s. A slight chance of showers or storms lingers throughout the weekend and into next week, with temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s.
