In American Military News it was reported in April that a combat-decorated U.S. Army Green Beret turned congressman, Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL) wrote a letter to the superintendent of West Point, describing the tremendous number of concerns by “unsettled soldiers, cadets, and families” about “the U.S. Army’s introduction of elements of critical race theory into cadet instruction.” In this article, “The entire corps of cadets was required to report to Michie Stadium ... to hear from a cadet panel. Teaching young Americans and members of the Armed Services that what is important is skin color instead of the quality or "content of their character" is generating resentment, anger, and an end to military cohesion.
