Catalytic converter theft

They stole my catalytic converter from my Prius right in front of my house! It was done in under 2 minutes (Video is 3 minutes to show them coming and going). I live in Camarillo, California where it costs $3100 to repair (instead of $400 in Nevada for example) because of strict state environmental laws. This type of crime is out of control. I have a client who has been hit twice and another client who had thefts on 4 vehicles. The Prius is dangerous because they have to jack up the car first and go underneath. A thief in Anaheim was crushed/killed under one of these. A local mechanic is currently working on 3 trucks to replace the cats in them. I am planning on putting in more cameras and perhaps even having the thing welded to make it harder for them.. also a new alarm with tilt sensors that can text me when it is going off.
