The "For the People Act" Predictably Fails in the Senate, the "John Lewis Voting Act" Steps Up

To the absolute shock of noone, the "For the People Act" that would be a complete Federalization of Elections going forward, failed to break the Filibuster in the Senate and died a death with a total partisan vote, 50-50. Sucks to suck, regroup and try again next time.

Don't expect the Democrats to give up on this issue. They have another bill which looks to accomplish the same goal, through different means. This one carries the name of one of their sacred figures: The John Lewis Voting Advancement Act.

John Lewis was a deeply, deeply hateful man. He smeared and tarnished the Tea Party and ran on second hand achievements. But because he was around during the Civil Rights Era, he should be the face of a Voting Bill. Logic Checks out.

What is this bill? Who is John Lewis? Two questions, but only one answer is necessary: Trash.
