Mercury thunderbolt 850 85hp first run

Working on a Mercury 850 85hp early 70's around 1976, First run of the engine after working on it. I have the rectifier disconnected. I checked the diodes in the rectifier beforehand and found them to be bad. I have a new rectifier ordered.
