Noisy katydid!

Lydia Attard, invertebrate guru at the Toronto Zoo, amazes us all on a tour of the "Bug House" with the off-the-charts noise of this male katydid. The mic on my camera was woefully inadequate to capture the intensity and sheer volume of the noise he made, but hopefully you can still get some idea. Hint: listen just before and just after his "song" to see how much everything else is muted by my camera
