I normally agonize about putting together mixes; this one came effortlessly. All over the map musically, and spanning 50 years, the track list doesn’t make sense when you read it (like many of my mixes;), but it will make sense to your ears.

The only qualifications here seemed to be a) around 80 BPM, b) a groove, and c) I still love them.

In just under 90 minutes, you’ll get a taste of blues (GC), soul (DH), jazz funk (CT), reggae (FFD), downtempo electronica (MA/AB), noisy art rock (HF) and late 60's soundtrack/score music (JC).

One common thing nearly everyone experiences during their Awakening process?

The music you listen 2 doesn’t sound the same anymore.

As it turns out, you change, but the music stays the same.

I personally can’t listen to a great deal of the old stuff I used 2 love - it simply doesn’t sound right any longer.

I encourage every one of you to take a close look at the music you’re listening to. Does it still sound right to you, or does it just sound familiar. Does it sound fake now?

Why are you still listening to it, then?

That said, all these records still sound magical to me, and that’s why I’ve selected them.

I hope you find them as amazing as I do.
