“The Neverending Story” chapter IV

I read aloud from “The Neverending Story” chapter 4. Before this chapter a book was stolen by a boy named Bastian Balthazar Buxx. He skips class hides out in the school attic reading the stolen book.

We learn of a land called Fantastica that is disappearing, being taken by an evil force making the land’s ruler, the Childlike Empress, very ill. A young man name Atreu is summoned to take the quest to find a cure for the Childlike Empress. He is given an amulet, Auryn. Atreu begins by finding Morla the aged one. Along the way he lost His horse Artax to the Swamps of Sadness and Morla tells him he must visit the southern oracle for the cure. Ok that’s enough back story I hope. Enjoy!
