20210620 Trading in the Unreasonable - The Daily Summation

If a person owes you money, is it okay for them to refuse to pay because it's inconvenient (without coming to you and soliciting some sort of agreement)?

You may choose a position of grace where that person's concerned, but that DOESN'T make their choice reasonable.

Now imagine a young (or even an older) man gets a young (or again, even older) lady pregnant.

Assume he decides it's "inconvenient" to support that child in some way. Is THAT reasonable? What about him deciding that the baby should be dispatched?

If that's okay, when does that END? Can he decide a child that has been BORN can be done in? I would HOPE most folks (if not all) answer that with a hearty, "NO!"

This line of reasoning, ISN'T. Rather it is, "trading in the unreasonable"

This is what I put forth as an idea in today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.

When I'm able to complete the companion article on the Kurt's Religion and Politics blog, I'll post a link to it here.
