Scarlett Johansson, at 36, Happy a Femme Fatale is No Longer "Hyper-Sexualized"

When Scarlett Johansson made a rather benign statement that Hollywood should get out of the political arena, her words felt hollow. Like she needed to make a statement, as if anyone really cared or was waiting for her approval. Now that the window of opportunity to be the world's Sex Symbol is rapidly closing, Scarlett is making the rounds to promote her obviously trash movie, "Black Widow" by rewriting the past. Suddenly, as she has evolved as an actor, the "hyper-sexualization" of Black Widow was a bad thing and she's glad to make the character, in its final outing, another generic being. Just move along if it's too tough to maintain the look, there are many other actors dying to take the role.

Clearly she doesn't get why she was cast to begin with, let alone the source material. Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff is a Femme Fatale. A highly skilled spy, trained in many Martial Arts and an expert Marksman who uses all her feminine guile to complete the mission, by any means necessary.
