Allen Welsh Dulles was the first civilian and
longest serving director of the Central Intelligence Agency.

Dulles resigned as CIA Director in November 1961 due to the Bay of Pigs fiasco.

On November 29, 1963, President
Lyndon Johnson appointed Dulles as
one of seven commissioners of the
Warren Commission to investigate the
assassination President John F. Kennedy.
