Mount Coeur d’Alene Trail Hike

Annabelle and I are slow hikers who like to take our time and explore. While vacationing in Idaho in 2018 we sought out some easy to moderate trails that were close by. It wasn’t hard to find them! Idaho is chalked full of outdoor opportunities. We went on 4 hikes in the 7 days we were there. All the trails are in the Coeur d’Alene area.

It was hot! 102-106 on 3 of the days so we had to get up early when it was cooler and get home before it got too hot.

Mount Coeur d’Alene Trail is highlighted in this vlog. This hike was done on Friday, August 10, 2018. The trail actually connects to a much larger trail called Caribou Ridge. Annabelle and I had fun exploring this trail that was 100% forest. Unlike some of the other trails that were very scenic this one had no outlooks or scenic views at all. It literally was just a hike through a dense forest. Don't get me wrong, the forest was tranquil and beautiful in it's own right. Regardless, it allowed a father and daughter to get outdoors, observe nature, and spend some quality time together.

We had a lot of fun shooting the video. It's obvious that a lot of the shots we took were staged. Even though it's laughable we were wanting people to feel like they were there with us and, most of all, we were having fun! The video was made straight from the photos and video from my iPhone 6 Plus using iMovie that's also on the phone.

Our advice is that anytime you have the opportunity to get out and explore what God has provided to us you should do it! The outdoors offers a lot of opportunities to bond as a family, to learn about your environment, as well as what you are capable of when it comes to backpacking and camping.

We're hoping to film more adventures like this in the future and share them with family and other folks who share similar interests. If you like this video please subscribe and give us a rumble.

Live life fully, love the ones you were with, and don’t forget, you are awesome!
