Pachelbel's Canon is probably the most famous piece of classical music ever written, and for good reason. It is so beautiful and calming, and was far ahead of its time--written well before Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven ever came along.

One reason it is so beautiful is because of the structure of the canon. It is very repetitive, but it doesn't get boring because you never hear the same 3 themes played together twice.
