In 1898, retired merchant navy officer Morgan Robertson wrote a novel ‘The Wreck of the Titan or Futility’, which predicted the Titanic disaster in 1912
The Titanic was a passenger ship that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean on April 15 1912 after colliding with an iceberg on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City
The sinking of Titanic caused the deaths of 1,517 people in one of the worst maritime disasters in history.
