Ceramic Resonator 6MHz Colpitts Oscillator response captured in SDRSharp

Shown above is the output from a 6 Mhz ceramic resonator oscillator constructed using one transistor on the back of old srap pcb boards. The ceramic resonator is the three legged variety and one pin was left disconnected as shown.

Horizontal lines in the waterfall display in SDR# appear when I tap the desk showing the sensitivity of the ceramic resonator to shock and vibration.

Interesting behaviour is observed after @ 1:55 when the mains supply has been disconnected. The circuit is running on the residual energy within the power supply capacitors. Frequency instability is seen as the voltage supply falls.. Any comments on how this circuit works are welcome and appreciated.
