Farmland is one of the most valuable assets in existence, after all this is where our food is grown. However now there is an action to take control of this farmland and land in general. This will cripple farmland owners both big and small in the years to come. We will see less control and freedom of said land as we progress towards 2030. I love real estate and love real estate investing however we must all pay attention to where the attention is going and this attention is facing climate change and action towards curbing emissions and the only way to do this seems to be regulation over farmers.

In fact what they are doing now is paying farmers more money not to work than to work their land. Think about that for a second, this strategy seems very familiar..

What are your thoughts about farmland and investing in real estate right now? Do you think farmland is a great investment? Bill Gates sure does as he now owns roughly 270,000 acres of farmland across America. He is also heavily invested in beyond meat and impossible foods as he wants to begin rolling out lab based foods for the roughly 300 million citizens.

He believes this is better for us and better for the environment.

This is quite unbelievable to witness first hand, seeing land change hands in such scale so fast.. We will likely see more and more of this in the coming few years as we begin to step into a recession and people have less money to spend.

Lab based foods will be cheaper to make and produce in scale and traditional meat will likely only rise in price as there are less farmers out there producing traditional beef.
