Time measured in decades
like a swift river did go by
A few grey hairs and wrinkles
the mirror can make one sigh

Older yet wiser perhaps is true
at least I hope it was achieved
A life well lived with kindness and grace
somehow that is what I believed

Another generation passing with time
the stuff made of legends stands true
The torch has been past, it is time
fade in the sky when it’s blue

Be not sad for I am with you always
love never dies, just newly formed
Bonded by memories evermore
assures your heart will always be warmed
