NATURE & SCIENCE - PLASMIDS, GENE PROGRAMMING

We've learned a huge amount in the last recent decade about what nature has already built for us in our bodies ... and in our brains. Now we're moving forward in the science of modifying, redesigning and enhancing them both. It has quickly become apparent the most expedient way to do it is by using the body's own machinery to change itself into the desired result. So its all about genes, the code, the software if you will. By changing the instructions, we can literally "command" living organisms to become whatever we want. We illustrate a few of the most promising methods for accomplishing such tasks as reprogramming, modifying or enhancing, and some of the people making it happen. Fascinating.
