Old Glory is the name of the American Flag the name bestowed on it in 1831 by a Massachusetts merchant ship captain, William Driver during one of his long voyages. The flag itself was specified and defined by the Constitutional Congress in 1775 - and officially sewn by Betsy Ross on June 14, 1775. Despite what some who believe some lives matter more than others might say, Flags are indeed important. We learn who one's allegiance belongs by which sigils they are not allowed to desecrate.
